Here's what our paint chips look like up on the wall. The top left color isn't the same as the bottom color, although in kinda looks that way in the photos.
If we use the bottom color as shown in the photos, which top color do you like better?
Well, Maybe I'm just tired from two plane rides in two days, but I can't tell the difference in the bottom too ;). But I like the upper right shade better. I think it makes the dark purple pop better and softens it all up at the same time.
Donna, I love the contrast between light and dark, so I vote for the lightest shade on top and darker on the bottom. How fun! The nursery is coming along - we need to get cracking on ours for our baby boy's nursery too!
I like both .. But the one on the right will give you a lighter effect in the room.. The room will not look as dark.. Then you will be able to put some darker things on the wall.. Very pretty.. Kim
Actually, in this picture I like the one on the left. But in reality, I'm thinking maybe the one on the right will make the room a little lighter for you.
After looking and looking then enlarging then looking and looking I have come up with the conclusion that I like both but am a little parchial to the darker one..... It just kind of flows better for me.
Can't wait to see it all done!!! Oh and with Lauren rocking in that chair too!!!
I too like the lighter one and so does MacLean we think it fits the light colour in the border and makes it pop out. thanks for letting us be a part of this fun process. MacLean's bedroom was a beautiful purple when she was a baby.
I love the look of the Lauren's bedroom! The border and the paint look great. I'm partial to the lighter color also, but either one really looks wonderful. Have fun!!
Donna, I would use both colors and break up the walls; one wall the dark and three the light or two and two. Or half and half just like in the picture. Or you could do strips! Okay I am not being very helpful, just making more work. If you only want one color my vote is for the darker purple. Take care, Linda Marie

I like them both but I think the one on the right might brighten up the room a little more.

I like the lighter one as well better. It will make anything else you put on the walls stand out more I think!!
BEAUTIFUL purples though!!!

I like the lighter color too, although I love purple, so I love all of them.
I am going to vote the lighter color. Either one looks great, but the one on the left may make the room a tad dark.
Can't wait to see the finished room! :)
Definately the lighter one. I agree that it lightens the room and it also blends nicely with the top portion of the border.
Either will look great though. I am very excited that you are diving into her room. I can't wait til the next post!!!!
